The Commitment Ceremony, is now a legally recognised marriage. However, you can still have a beautiful Commitment Ceremony if you don’t want to or are not free to make the legal commitment to your partner. This is still a very special day for the couple concerned. These ceremonies are given the same thought and attention as a legal ceremony and reflect the hopes, aspirations and personalities of the couple.
Your commitment ceremony will be memorable and personal.
The love, hope and joy you feel on this very special day will be reflected in your ceremony.
Your intimate ceremony or grand occasion will be treated with style. You may incorporate any rituals in your ceremony or we can create one together.
You will receive my undivided attention. Your ceremony will be the only ceremony I perform on that day so my focus will only be on you both.
Renewal of Vows
Maybe you’re been married overseas with family and you’re returned home to Australia and want to celebrate with your family and friends here. Although it cannot be another wedding it can be a ceremony with as much warmth and feeling as your legal wedding.
You may be approaching a significant Anniversary and would like to renew your marriage vows. A ceremony encompassing your original vows, or similar ones, can be written with all the warmth and love your feel for each.
Baby Naming Ceremonies
This ceremony is an announcement to family and friends of the arrival of a new addition to the family. This new child may be a newborn baby, an adoption or a blending of families.
Many parents who hold no religious beliefs hold a Naming Ceremony for their child. Some parents hold their Baby Naming Ceremony shortly after birth, although first birthdays are often chosen as their special day.
In present times with the blending of families a Naming Ceremony is often performed to welcome
all the children into the one family, giving the children a feeling of belonging together.
You will receive my undivided attention on the day, your ceremony will be the only one I perform on the day.
You will receive:
- A ceremony written especially for you. Throughout the ceremony you can have special readings, stories or songs.
- A Naming Certificate for your child and for the Godparents
Fee: $250 (this includes a non-refundable deposit of $100 to secure your day in my diary)
Ceremonies can also include a candle lighting, balloon release, planting of a tree or rose bush or you may have your own ideas.
As is most likely, there will be other small children present, as well as the guest of honour, a ceremony of no more than 30 minutes is desirable.
